Who we are
One-Way Electric is a family-run electrical contractor serving Colorado Springs and Southern and Central Colorado. This policy explains what information onewayelectric.net collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Questions about it go to info@onewayelectric.net or 719-374-9392.
Information you give us
When you request an estimate through our contact form, we ask for:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address
- The type of service you need
- The city or ZIP code where the work is, if you choose to add it
- A description of your project or the problem you're seeing
The form sends this to our office inbox and keeps a copy in the website's database, so a request isn't lost if an email goes astray. If you call or email us directly, we keep the details you share so we can schedule and complete the work.
Information collected automatically
When a page loads, the site records basic technical details: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of the visit. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which screens the site for spam and attacks, keep these in server logs.
The site also sets a few cookies:
- PHPSESSID, breakdance_session_count, breakdance_last_session_id and breakdance_view_count are set by our website builder to count visits and sessions. They don't identify you by name.
- __cf_bm is set by Cloudflare to tell people apart from automated bots. It expires after 30 minutes.
- _ga and _ga_LC4YHM1GWW are set by Google Analytics to recognize returning visitors. They last up to two years.
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use the site: which pages are viewed, how long people stay and roughly what area a visit comes from. Google Analytics doesn't receive your name or anything you type into the estimate form. We don't use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to answer your request, prepare an estimate, schedule work and follow up on jobs we've completed. Technical data keeps the site running and secure, and analytics data shows us which pages help people and which need work. We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Who we share it with
Your information stays with One-Way Electric and the companies that run our website and email: our web host, Cloudflare and our email provider. They handle it only to provide those services to us. Google receives the site usage data described above through Google Analytics and handles it under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to a court order.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests and job records for as long as we need them to serve you, stand behind our work and meet our tax and licensing record-keeping obligations. Our hosting providers keep server logs for a limited period and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@onewayelectric.net or call 719-374-9392 and we'll respond within 30 days. Some records, such as invoices, we may have to keep where the law requires it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can stop Google Analytics from recording your visits with Google's opt-out browser add-on. Most of the site works without cookies.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging electrical work. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to our Facebook page and other sites we don't run. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave onewayelectric.net.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
